Branch Manager


Overview: Franklin American Mortgage is looking for an experienced, professional individual to lead as a Branch Manager.


The Branch Manager manages the functions of a Branch Office in addition to being a Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. Like the LMLO, the Branch Manager primarily focuses on generating leads through marketing and promotional strategies to attract new purchase business and originate loans.


The Branch Manager will also oversee, train, coach and counsel the LMLO's within their office and hire, train and supervise support personnel where required.

Duties Include:
• Generate leads for the origination of loans.
• Develop a database and communicate with referral contacts (realtors, builders, clients, attorneys, etc.).
• Be available to contacts and referral sources in order to provide loan information, documentation and personal meetings.
• Maintain high levels of customer service providing information to all those involved in the loan process.
• Maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting and general departmental guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of Company's policies and procedures.
• Oversee the activities of assigned LMLO's and ensure they meet performance expectations; coach and counsel as appropriate.
• Manage office staff (including but not limited to LMLO Assistant, Customer Care Representatives, Processors, etc.) towards exceptional level of customer care and timely completion of loan processing.
• Communicate with Operations Management as to process and performance of assigned office staff.
• Collect documentation from applicants and deliver loan package to Customer Care Reps or Processors.
• Manage loan pipeline for all originated loans through closing and funding.
• Attend and participate in all training meetings as required by management.
• Initiate and maintain education of all legal and guideline changes and ensure assigned LMLO's meet this requirement as well.


What we need from you:
• Be Licensable in the states where originate – to include background and credit checks, state and national continuing education and testing.
• Prior experience of at least five (5) years in Mortgage Lending required.
• Prior supervisory experience of at least two (2) years is required.
• A history of strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Formal post-secondary education desired.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Utilize computer resources for communication and access of daily rates, applicant credit reports, loan information, and other job related activities.
• Analyzing and interpreting data.
• Ability to use logical, sound reasoning when making recommendations or decisions.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Resourcefulness and excellent problem solving skills.
• Detail orientation with strong organizational and follow-through skills to meet frequent deadlines.
• Must be able to hear and fluently speak the primary language of the workplace.
• Communicating with the public.
• Communicating in a constructive, tactful manner to enhance performance of assigned staff.
• Creating written communication.
• Ability to dress and present self in a professional manner.
• Ability to supervise the work of others and provide training, direction and corrective feedback.
